Meet Dr. Bindu Lal – The Mind and Body Behind Restart4Wellbeing

Dr. Bindu Lal is a Yale-trained psychiatrist and Obesity Medicine specialist certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, with over 20 years of experience in mental health and metabolic wellness. She recognized that treating the mind without addressing the body—or vice versa—left gaps in patient care. This realization led her to create Restart4Wellbeing, a program that integrates psychiatry, weight management, and lifestyle coaching to treat the whole person.

At Restart4Wellbeing, Lisa helps clients build strength, improve mobility, enhance endurance, and support weight loss while also nurturing their spiritual and emotional well-being. Her fitness approach is tailored to all levels, focusing on:

  • Mobility and flexibility – Improving movement patterns and reducing stiffness to enhance overall wellness

The Story Behind Restart4Wellbeing – A Vision for True Healing

Restart4Wellbeing was born out of a shared realization—a moment of clarity that changed everything for us.

As professionals in our respective fields, we—Dr. Bindu Lal, a psychiatrist and obesity medicine expert, and Lisa, a fitness instructor and spiritual adviser—spent years helping individuals navigate their health challenges. But something was missing.

Dr. Lal saw patients struggling with anxiety, depression, and emotional eating, but traditional psychiatric care often left the physical aspect of their struggles unaddressed. Lisa worked with individuals to build strength and endurance, but she often noticed that their inner struggles—stress, low confidence, and lack of emotional resilience—were holding them back.

We were each addressing only part of the problem, treating isolated symptoms instead of the whole person. Mind and body were out of sync, fitness lacked emotional depth, and spiritual well-being was often overlooked in traditional care.

Then came the realization: True healing isn’t about just treating the mind, body, or fitness separately—it’s about integrating all of them into one complete approach.

That’s when we created Restart4Wellbeing—a program built on the belief that mental, physical, and spiritual wellness must be connected for real transformation to happen.

Our philosophy is reflected in our logo, where three interlinked rings represent Mind, Body, and Fitness, each essential to well-being. At the center, binding them together, is Spirit—the force that connects and strengthens them all.

Through Restart4Wellbeing, we’ve created a space where individuals can heal, grow, and transform—not in fragments, but as a whole person. This isn’t just another program—it’s a new way to approach health, healing, and lifelong well-being.
